UTI Bank launches 'Meal Card' for corporates

New Delhi, Feb 19: UTI Bank today launched 'Meal Card' enabling corporates to disburse meal allowances to their employees.

The card is based on the MasterCard Platform, usable at merchant outlets selling ready-to-eat items, food and beverages and reloadable on the request of the corporate only.

The MasterCard signature-based card will be accepted at over 40,000 MasterCard-enabled merchant outlets in the country.

It can be reloaded every time the corporate wants to give out the meal allowance and also offers discount offers from food chains like Pizza Hut, KFC and Subway.

''We take great pleasure in launching yet another innovative product that is tailor-made to meet diverse consumer needs. Now, corporates will have a convenient and hassle-free meal solution for their employees. The UTI Bank Meal card will further strengthen our continuously expanding suite of card products,'' President (Retail Banking) Hemant Kaul said.

The balance enquiry on the 'Meal Card' will be available to the employees through the bank's ATMs and telebanking facility.

The 'Meal Card' also gives the customer the freedom to pay in any denomination unlike the existing paper voucher system.
