Swamy's plea to Prez on UP
Chennai, Feb 19 (UNI) Janata Party President Subramaniam Swamy today urged the President not to set an unhealthy precedent by dismissing the Uttar Pradesh Government merely on Governor's report.
In a statement here, he said the ''report does not contain any actionable material facts, but merely the usual litany of complaints.
''As long as Mulayam Singh's Government does not meddle with the basic structure of the Constitution or enjoys majority support in the Legislature or both, the President cannot concur with the demand for the dismissal of the government,'' he said.
