Oppn MDMK stage walk out in all-party meet

Chennai, Feb 19: The Opposition MDMK today staged a walk out in the all-party meeting convened by the Tamil Nadu government to discuss the final award of the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal.

After submitting their views at the meeting, the two MDMK representatives, Mr K S Radhakrishnan and Mr S E Sathya, staged the walk out in protest against the invitation given to party rebels and MPs L Ganesan and Gingee S Ramachandran.

Mr Ganesan and Mr Ramachandran had floated the MDMK (Gingee) after their expulsion from the party.

Talking to newspersons after the walk out, the MDMK representatives said there was no need for the government to extend an invitation to the rebel faction and alleged that it was a move to wreak vengeance on the MDMK.
