Gravity India to enter high-end home furnishing

New Delhi, Feb 19: Textiles firm Gravity India Ltd today announced plans to enter high-end home furnishing segment including upholstery fabrics and curtain clothes under its existing brand name 'Gravity'.

The company said it is in talks with leading five star hotels for the procuring orders for supply of upholstery fabrics and curtain clothes.

It is also negotiating with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for upholstery to be used in seat covers from leading automobile manufacturers.

The company has 48 sulzer automatic weaving machines with a capacity of 3.5 lakh metres per month at its manufacturing units in Dadra Nagar Haveli.

Early this month, it announced plans to diversify into retailing, building, construction, property development and entertainment businesses.
