Fire breaks out in Cadilla pharma plant in GIDC, Ankleshwar

Bharuch, Feb 19 (UNI) A major fire today broke out in the plant of Cadilla Pharmaceuticals, in the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) estate at Ankleshwar, about 14 kms from here.

There is no official word on casualties and losses as yet.

The Disaster Prevention Management Committee of the GIDC has reached the spot. Fire tenders have also been pressed into service.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, fire service sources said.
