Fake currency deposited in SBI branch
Jamnagar, Gujarat, Feb 19 (UNI) A branch manager of State Bank of India (SBI) in Okha town today filed a complaint in a local police station that some unknown customers had deposited fake currency notes in denomination of Rs 100 and 50 worth Rs 5,600 in his branch.
According to police sources, SBI branch manager Bahadur Singh Jain claimed that some customers had allegedly deposited fake currency notes in his branch sometime before September 2006.
In his complaint, Mr Jain said there were 55 notes of Rs 100 denomination and two notes of Rs 50 each.
Police have registered a case.
