Expo-Auto Parts 2007 from Feb 20

Chennai, Feb 19 (UNI) The ICICI Bank, Madras Motor Parts Dealers Association (MMPDA) and the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Tamil Nadu will jointly organise a three-day Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Expo-Auto Parts 2007 exhibition here from tomorrow.

Addressing a press conference here today, ICICI Bank Deputy General Manager S Balamurugan, MMPDA Secretary A L Sureshkumar and Department of Industries and Commerce Additional Director M S Ravi said the expo would help the SMEs to strengthen business opportunities.

Over 50 exhibitors including leading players from auto component makers to auto manufacturers like TVS, Hero Honda and Yamaha would participate in the exhibition.

Mr Balamurugan said the expo, sponsored by the ICICI bank, was the first of its kind initiative, which would bring major stakeholders like government departments, component manufacturers, vehicle manufacturers and service providers together.

It would be an ideal platform for the companies in the auto parts industry to meet, network and seek business opportunities with all the relevant stakeholders.

A 15-member Iranian delegation would also participate in the expo, Mr Suresh Kumar said.
