Delhi Police Special cell team arrives on blast site

Diwana, Haryana, Feb 19 (UNI) A team of the Delhi Police Special Cell arrived here today to carry out investigations on the scene of the blasts, which occurred in the Delhi-Attari Samjhauta Express early this morning killing 64 people and injuring 13.

The team, which consists of four senior police officers belonging to the Special Cell, will conduct detailed investigations into the blast including ascertaining how explosives made their way into the train.

Two IEDs and a briefcase were recovered from the blasts site.

Also accompanying the team was a bomb disposal squad to assist investigators.

The bi-weekly peace train, that connects India with Pakistan, had left the Delhi Railway Station at 2240 hrs last night for Attari near Amritsar.
