Blast a conspiracy to disrupt peace process: Centre

New Delhi, Feb 19: The Centre today described the explosion in Delhi-Attari Special as a ''conspiracy'' to disrupt the ongoing peace process between India and Pakistan.

Union Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal said here that proof of ''some conspiracy'' has been found behind the incident which claimed 64 lives.

He said ''whenever a peacful discussion takes place, some elements conspire to disrupt it.'' ''They want to terrorise people and disrupt tne peace talks.

However they will not be succeed in their designs,'' he added.

Asked about any security lapse, the Minister said sometimes terrorists become successful, but that does not mean that the seciurity agencies are not working. He said investigation are going on to identity those responsible for the incident.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Shivraj Patil is visiting the injured at the multi-speciality Burns Ward at Safgarjung Hospital here.
