Army to continue healthcare facilities in Jammu

Doda, Feb 19 (UNI) Healthcare facilities were every citizen's right and the army would continue its effort to ensure nobody lacked it, the Commanding Officer (CO) of the 4 Rashtriya Rifles (Bihar) Battalion Colonel Deepak Garg today said.

Speaking at an inaugural function of a free check-up and medical camp at remote village at Sarna, 35 km away from Bhadarwah town, Colonel Garg said projects and efforts will help youth stay away from terror activities and bring normalcy in militancy-infested Doda region.

A medical camp under the aegis of 'operation sadhbhavana' was organised at remote villages in tehsil Bhadarwah, where more than 700 needy and poor patients were examined by the army and civil doctors and free medicines of about Rs 65000 were distributed.

People of the area said such actions will help create brotherhood among masses and strengthen relation between the army and public that was essential to contain militancy.
