64 killed, 13 injured as Delhi-Attari Samjhauta Express catches fire
New Delhi, Feb 19 (UNI) Sixty-four people were killed and 13 injured when two coaches of Delhi-Attari Samjhauta Express caught fire near here early today.
The incident occurred at around 0100hrs near Deewana railway station, short of Panipat, Northern Railway Spokesmen said.
''It appears to be an act of sabotage as the explosives were found in the two coaches,'' he said.
The injured have been admitted to hospital in Panipat.
Arrangements have been made to move the injured, if required, to other hospital elsewhere.
Union Minisiter of State for Railways R Velu and railway board officials have reached the site.
