172nd birthday of Ramkrishna celebrated

Purulia, Feb 19 (UNI) The 172nd birth anniversary of Ramakrishna Paramhansa deb was celebrated today throughout the state with due solemnity.

The day was celebrated at Kamarpukur(Hooghly), the birthplace of Ramkrishna, as well as Belur Math(Howrah), built by Swami Vivekananda in memory of his guru, with due respect .

All the Ramakrishna Math and Missions in various districts like Burdwan, Bankura Purulia, and Midnapur celebrated the day amidst various programmes.

Ramakrishna Mission Ashram and Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama, Varanasi, also observed the day.
