New Delhi, Feb 18 (UNI) India's largest slimming, fitness and beauty brand VLCC Healthcare will scale up its operations to have 300 centres in the franchise model by 2009.

''We are encouraged by the overwhelming interest in the franchise model, which the organisation has recently launched. The model will enable the company to scale up operations to 300 centres by 2009,'' VLCC Healthcare Ltd COO Yogesh Sethi said at the opening of its first franchise outlet here.

Under the first phase of expansion, Mr Sethi said the franchise model will focus on towns like Rohtak, Karnal, Phagwara, Moga, Udiapur, Ajmer, Meerut, Muzaffanagar, Jhansi, Roorkee, Dhanbad, Jamnagar, Rachi, Kolhapur, Kozhikode with a population between 100-500 million.

The franchisee would receive extensive training about the industry and the business to ensure that the franchising operations are seamless extensions of VLCC's own model, he added.

The staff would be recruited and trained by VLCC appointed personnel and the franchise centers will offer all the services, which VLCC offers at its other centres.
