Solar Power House launched by NEPC

New Delhi, Feb 18 (UNI) NEPC India Ltd has launched the world's first power house 'NEPC Solar' as a solution to the present power scenario.

Best suited for domestic appliances, the Research and Development division of NEPC has developed the Power House (Solar) for both domestic and commercial purposes.

It works on hybrid solar energy and cell technology.

The Power House is available in a wide range of 500 Watts/1000 Watts and above capacities.

It can charge cell phones, 12V car battery, support lighting, fans, televisions and computers as well as shops, offices DTP centres and small restaurants.

''There is an estimated gap of 20,000 MW between supply and demand of power in the country. The government has identified energy as the priority and has taken serious efforts to reduce the gap,'' Mr Haroon Yusuf, Minister of Transport and Power, Delhi, said while launching the product.

He also added that 40-45 per cent of power generated in India is consumed by domestic sector, and the situation may intensify with the increase in population. ''In order to meet the power challenges of the nation NEPC will contribute 40 per cent to the gap.'' No investment on power infrastructure, no recurring expenses, no maintenance cost, absolutely pollution free as no petrol/diesel/coal consumption is involved and it is easy to install and shift the Power House within the premises, as it is provided with castor wheels.

The NEPC product has a protection system against heavy fluctuation of power and is energised by solar energy every day.
