Seven people run over and killed in Jharkhand
Latehar, Feb 18 (UNI) Seven people, including five of a family, were run over and killed by a train at Hehegada of this district last night.
Police here today said the accident occurred on a railway bridge near Hehegada railway station on the Barwadih-Barkakana section of the South Eastern railway when Howrah-bound Shaktipunj Express ran over Bal Govind Singh, his wife Kunti, two sons and a daughter besides two other unidentified people.
Three others from the same family, including two women, were injured in the accident.
All of them were going on foot to participate in a marriage ceremony in a nearby village.
Villagers informed police about the incident today.
Railway police was investigating the matter.
Incidentally, ten persons were killed in yet another train accident near the same bridge about a month ago when three bogies of a goods train fell off the track.
