Parents of Kollywood actors pass away

Chennai, Feb 18 (UNI) With the death of parents of two popular actors and a film director today, a pall of gloom decended on Kollywood.

Sixty-three-year-old Ramesh, a film producer and father of actor Sukanya passed away in the city following a brief illness today. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.

Mr Maruthi Rao (56), father of another popular actor Monica, also passed away here after a brief illness, family sources said. Mr Rao is survived by his wife and two daughters.

Mrs Lakshmiammal (80), mother of film director and actor T P Gajendran, died at a private hospital after a brief illness early today.
