Number of Indian students in UK on rise
Chennai, Feb 18 (UNI) The number of Indian students pursuing higher education in the United Kingdom has been increasing at the rate of 18 per cent every year, University of Liverpool deputy director Ms Ursula Henry said.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a two-day 'Education UK' exhibition here today she said more than 23,000 Indian students were pursuing higher education in UK.
The Indian students mostly prefer MBA, as they could complete the course in two years, with minimum cost, Ms Henry noted.
Manager-Education UK (South India) R Nim Bahadur said another advantage for an Indian student in UK was availability of part-time job for 20 hours a week during the course and full-time job during vacations.
