No seat adjustments with Cong for LC election: TRS
Hyderabad, Feb 18 (UNI) Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) president K Chandrasekhara Rao today said that there will be no seat adjustments with the Congress for the ensuing Legislative Council (LC) elections in Andhra Pradesh.
The party had rejected the two MLC seats offered by the Congress, he said at a press conference here.
While TRS would not compromise on the statehood issue at any cost, he, however, said ''if the Congress announces the formation of a separate Telananga state, his party will leave all the MLC seats to that party.'' Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Pradesh Congress president K Keshava Rao had greeted him on his birthday, however, no discussions on seat adjustments were held, he added.
About the Congress decision to support the TRS in two MLC seats, Mr Rao said it was only an one-sided announcement by Congress leaders.
