Lankan national arrested with fake passport

Chennai, Feb 18 (UNI) Airport police today arrested a 26-year-old Sri Lankan national for attempting to fly to Canada from Anna international airport here with a fake passport.

Police said the arrested, B Arul Deeopan of Jaffna, came to the airport to board the Air France flight to Canada via London.

The immigration authorities, who examined the travel documents, found his passport to be a fake.

He was remanded in judicial custody, police added.
