India-A win Seven-a-Side Football
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Feb 18 (UNI) India-A took the laurels in the final of the South Asian Seven-a-Side Football Championship here by vanquishing Bhutan 2-0.
Alam and Amiruddin were the scorers.
India-A and Bhutan had secured berths in the final by pipping Nepal and Pakistan respectively. For India-A, Amiruddin found the nets first, followed by Alam and Mohammad Shabbir. The fourth goal also went into Amiruddin's kitty.
Nepal could score only once.
In the second encounter, Bhutan fired five goals. The first was scored by Yeshi Dorji, the second and third by skipper Jyetsen, the fourth went into Nobin's account and the last was by Dorji. For the Pakistanis, Mohammad Bilal scored once and Captain Mohammad Saleem converted a penalty.
