Farmer attempts immolation in Mulayam's rally; receives 80 % burns
Mahoba, Feb 18 (UNI) A farmer today attempted self immolation at a rally of Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav.
The farmer, Maniram Sen, received 80 per cent burns and was rushed to a government hospital in Jhansi.
The Chief Minister announced an immediate relief of Rs 50, 000 for the victim.
Sen was trying to lodge a complaint against vetinary doctors for the death of his horse during an animal show. He had threatened immolation if he failed to get adequate compensation.
As the district administration failed to provide him with compensation, he reached the rally site with kerosene and immolated himself.
