Cong clears names of 17 candidates for AP legislative council

New Delhi, Feb 18 (UNI) The Congress today cleared the names of 17 candidates for the election of MLCs to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council.

Congress media in charge Janardan Dwivedi released a list of the names of the candidates from local bodies. The candidates are -- T Bapji from Srikakulam, G Rudraraju from East Godavari, Ms Ganga Bhavani from West Godawari, I Venkaiah from Krishna, Sriniwas Raypati and TGV Krishan Reddy from Guntur, G V Sheshu from Prakasam and C V Sesha Reddy from Nellore.

Jaichandra Reddy has been cleared from Chitoor but a decision on another seat from Chitoor along with those of Vijayanagaram, Vishakhapatnam and Kadapa has been kept pending by the party. Medak and Karimnagar constituencies have been left for TRS.

The name of Mr Shivram Reddy has been cleared from Anantpur, Srinivasulu from Kurnool, Jageshwar Reddy from Mehboob Nagar, R Venkatram Reddy from Nizamabad, Prem Sagar Rao from Adilabad, Venkatram Reddy from Warangal, Mullu Batti from Khammam and Goverdhan Reddy from Nalgonda has also been cleared by the party.
