Cold South Easterly winds maintain influence over Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 18 (UNI) The cold South Easterly winds maintained a chill in the air in the national capital keeping the mercury a degree below normal at 9.3 degrees Celsius.

Delhiites woke up to a dull Sunday morning as shallow fog enveloped the capital's skyline.

The weather office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with possibility of thunderstorms or light rains in some areas.

A day after dense fog disrupted flight operations at the Delhi airport, passengers got a respite today as all flights departed and arrived on time.

''There were no delays due to fog today, all flights operations went as per schedule,'' an Airports Authority of India spokesperson said.

After maintaining the rising trend for three days, the mercury yesterday dipped to 9.1 degrees Celsius, the lowest this month.

The capital has been experiencing sunny days interspersed with cloudy intervals.
