3 charred to death, 2 injured

Nagpur, Feb 18 (UNI) Three members of a family, including two children, were killed and two others sustained injuries when their hut was gutted by fire today at village Anjora in Deori taluka of Gondia district in Maharashtra.

Gondia's Superintendent of Police Dr Cherring Dorje told UNI the fire broke out in the hut at around 0030 hrs at Anjora, about 7 km from Amgaon. The cause of fire was not known.

The deceased -- Gyaniram Tukaram Borkar (70), Nisha Bhaskar Borkar (5) and Usha Hansraj Borkar (5) -- were charred to death. The injured were rushed to a nearby primary health centre.

The victims were working at the brick manufacturing unit.

A case of accidental death has been registered by the Amgaon Police under Section 174 of CrPC, he added.
