200 heads of varioius religious heads to protest against CWDT
Mysore, Feb 18 (UNI) As many as 200 heads of various religious Institution and mutts in the State will arrive here along with their thousands of followers to stage protest against Cauvery Water Dispute Tribunal (CWDT) on February 20.
Disclosing this to newsmen here today, Sri Chennabasava Deshikendra Swamiji of Bettadapura and Shivalingendra Swamiji of Advai Mutt said that heads of the all religious mutts including Sikh, Christian, Muslim and Hindu would participate in the protest 'Padayatra' along with followers in the city.
The procession would pass through the main streets up to Deputy Commissioner's office where a memorandum, addressed to the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh would be presented.
The Seers warned that we may be forced to launch indefinite fast in front of Rashrapathi Bhavan, New Delhi if the Union government failed to protect the interests of the Karnataka farmers.
Seers participating in the agitation include Sri Shivakumara Swamy of Siddganga Mutt, Sri Balagangadarnatha Swamiji of Sri Chunchanagiri Mutt, Sri Shivathtri Desikendra Swamiji of Suttur Mutt, Sri Visweshwara Theertha Swamiji of Udupi Pejwar Mutt, Ganpathy Sachchidananda Swamiji of Avadoothadattapeeta, Sri Ravishankar of Art of living Bangalore, Sri Shivamurthy Murugarajendra Swamiji of Chitradurga.
