Students to oppose Guj Govt's move to relax prohibition
Ahmedabad, Feb 17 (UNI) Students from the Gujarat Vidhyapeeth and various organisations here have decided to build up opposition to the state government's proposed move to relax prohibition in Gujarat.
As part of their plan, the students and members of the organisations will fan out to various parts of the city on February 21 and make people aware of the ills behind the proposed move.
This was decided during a meeting held in the Vidyapeeth on February 14 which was attended by representatives of around 40 voluntary organisations.
Vidhyapeeth vice chancellor Dr Sudarshan Iyengar, speaking on the occasion then, had stressed the need for launching a deaddiction drive.
Among the organisations which attended the February 14 meet were Gujarat Sarvodaya Mandal, Lok Niketan, Awaaz, Lok Bharti Sanosara, Kuchch Nav Nirman Samiti and Vishwa Mangalam Anera.
