SP convenes emergency meeting on Feb 21

Lucknow, Feb 17 (UNI) Samajwadi Party supremo and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has convened an emergency meeting of the party leaders here on February 21.

According to party sources, the meeting would discuss the ''conspiracy'' of the Centre and the opposition parties to clamp president's rule in UP after the Supreme Courts verdict disqualifying 13 MLAs.

''All the legislators, ministers, MPs, district presidents, mayors, corporators and other senior state and central leaders would be present in the meeting to be held at the party's state headquarters here,'' sources added.

The meeting is also expected to adopt resolution against the ''conspiracy'' hatched by the opposition to dislodge the government.

Sources said during the meeting a strategy would also be chalked out for the trust vote to be sought in the Assembly on February 26.
