One killed, two injured by CPI(M) leader's security guard

Agartala, Feb 17 (UNI) Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council(TTAADC) member Lalit Tripura's brother Chandramohan was allegedly shot dead by the TTAADC member's security guard at Gandhacherra in Dhalai District last night, police said today.

Nibha Chandra Das has also shot at Mr Tripura's daughter-in-law and another constable seriously injuring both. He then later killed himself.

Mr Tripura, who was also the ruling CPI(M) Gandacherra Divisional Committee secretary, was not at his house during the incident.

Sources said the accussed constable seemed to have lost his mental balance since the last two days.

The leader's daughter-in law Biswakanya and a District Armed Reserved Battalion(DAR) constable Khajaram Reang received severe bullet injuries and were shifted to G B hospital here last night.

The constable, a few hours after the incident, rushed to the guard's room and committed suicide with his service rifle.

Police officials pushed to the spot after the incident.

Investigation is on.
