J&K police officers given judicial- police remand in fake encounter

Srinagar, Feb 17 (UNI) A local court today remanded two police officers to 14 days judicial remand while three others were given 14 days police remand in connection with the killing of four persons in fake encounter.

The accused were produced before the 2nd Munsif, Magistrate here, under very tight security arrangments this afternoon.

The judge Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone, after hearing the arguments from both the sides, remanded Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Hans Raj Parihar and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP-Operations) Ganderbal, Bahadur Ram to 14 days judicial remand.

He said gave 14 days police remand to three other police official allegedly involved in the fake encounter cases.

No mediapersons reporter or lawyers were allowed to enter the court room.
