Jatha to participate in Saka Nankana Sahib anniversary in Pak
Amritsar, Feb 17 (UNI) A 19-member Jatha will leave here for Pakistan February 19 to participate in the Saka Nankana Sahib anniversary on February 21.
The Jatha, which will include three women, will visit Nankana Sahib, Panja Sahib, Dera Sahib, Gurudwara Sacha Soda and kartarpur in Pakistan before returning on February 26.
The anniversary is being held to commemorate the movement, launched in 1920, to free the gurdwaras from the control of Mahants who were supported by the British.
It is for the first time that the Jatha under the ageis of Guru Dham Yatra Committee, led by former SGPC Secretary Kulwant Singh Randhawa, Pakistan to Participate in the anniversary.
