IAS officer surrenders in court
Patna, Feb 17 (UNI) Senior IAS officer and former secretary of water resources department of Bihar Hemchandra Sirohi today surrendered before a local court.
He was later on released on bail.
Mr Sirohi was summoned by the court in connection with the case relating to irregularities committed in Durgawati water reserviour project.
Mr Sirohi surrendered before Chief Judicial Magistrate of Patna Sushma Sinha and prayed for the bail.
The case was filed by the forest department of Bihar under the various sections of Indian Forest Act 1927, wildlife protection Act 1972 and Indian Penal Code.
