DSP among 6 injured in protest against custodial killing in Jammu
Jammu, Feb 17 (UNI) At least six people, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police, were injured during violent protest by locals here today over the alleged custodial killing of a youth in Jammu and Kashmir, sources said.
A large number of protesters ransacked Phallan Mandal police chowki, under Satwari police station, on the outskirts of the city and also set afire a government vehicle, eye-witnesses told UNI.
DSP Shiv Kumar Chowhan was injured in the incident.
The locals were protesting against the killing of one Tarseem, who allegedly died in the police custody last night.
