Delhi BJP takes out 'scooter rally' against spiraling prices

New Delhi, Feb 17 (UNI) BJP Delhi Pradesh today organised a 'scooter rally' in South Delhi to protest against spiraling prices and ''anti-people'' policies of the Congress.

BJP Delhi Pradesh President Harsh Vardhan led thousands of party workers through the streets of Chhattarpur and Mehrauli.

He also addressed a public meeting in Ghitorni village after the rally.

Despite Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Finance Minister P Chidambaram and Planning Commission Vice Chairman Montek Singh Aluwalia claiming themselves to be great economists, prices of all commodities were increasing day by day, Dr Harsh Vardhan said.

The measures taken by the Congress government to curb the price spiral had not shown any results while Congress President Sonia Gandhi and the Left parties were ''shedding crocodile'' tears over the issue, he added.

He called upon the people to dislodge such a government, especially from Delhi and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
