Adilabad records lowest minimum temp. of 12 deg C

Chennai, Feb 17 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in Centimetres are: Pattukottai, Vallam and Polavaram 3 each, Koyyalagudem 2 and Orathanadu one.

The minimum temperature rose at one or two places over coastal Karnataka and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably below normal at one or two places over Telangana, below normal at one or two places over Karnataka, appreciably above normal at a few places over Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, at one or two places over Rayalaseema, above normal at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over rest coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Adilabad recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 12 degree celsius in the plains of the region.

Weather forecast valid until Monday morning: Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh and South Kerala. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Karnataka, North Kerala and Lakshadweep.
