A hotel and 20 shops gutted in south Kashmir
Srinagar, Feb 17: A hotel and about 20 shops were gutted in a devastating fire at Anantnag in south Kashmir today, official sources said.
They said the fire broke out in a shopping complex near the bus stand in Anantnag, about 50 km from here this morning.
The fire spread to the entire complex and engulfed about 20 shops and a hotel before the fire tenders could reach.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known, they said, adding there was no loss of life in the accident.
