TAML plans to set up mfg unit in Bangalore

New Delhi, Feb 16 (UNI) Tata Advanced Materials Ltd (TAML), a Tata Group company, today said it planned to set up a world-class facility in Jigani, Bangalore to manufacture composite materials catering to the emerging needs of the global aerospace industry.

This development comes after the successful completion of manufacture and supply of advanced composite components for Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for over a period of three years, a statement said.

''Today, TAML marks three successful years of operation in the aerospace composite products and are spreading their wings to reach out to the global aerospace industry,'' TAML Chairman Syamal Gupta said.

In 2003, ISRO selected Tata Advanced Materials (TAML) for manufacturing of Key composite components for satellites.

UNI
