Shiva Chaturdashi observed in Tripura

Agartala, Feb 16 (UNI) People today observed Shiva Chaturdashi in different parts of Tripura with religious fervour.

People queued up in front of various Shiva temples to offer prayers.

A number of fairs have been organised in different parts of the state to mark the day.

All the temples in the state have been decorated. Prices of fruits and flowers rose considerably due to the occasion.

Besides, a number of Shiva temples were inaugurated today.

Volunteers and priests of different temples had a tough time from the morning in tackling the heavy rush.

Security has been beefed up in the city to maintain law and order.
