Maha Shiva Chaturdashi observed in Tripura

Agartala, Feb 16: People today observed Shiva Chaturdashi in different parts of Tripura through various programmes with religious fervour.

Female folks and teenagers qued up in front of various Shiva temples to offer prayers from early morning.

A number of fairs have been organised in different parts of the state to mark the day.

All the temples in the state were decorated with flowers and lights since yesterday. Prices of fruits and flowers rose considerably due to the festival.

Besides, a number of Shiva temples were inaugurated today.

Volunteers and priests of different temples had a tough time from the morning in tackling the heavy rush.

Security has been beefed up in the city to maintain law and order on the occassion.
