Rs 2,05,000 cr MOUs signed at 'Vibrant Gujarat Urban Summit

Ahmedabad, Feb 16 (UNI) Gujarat government has signed various MoUs worth Rs 205,000 crore during the two-day 'Vibrant Gujarat Urban Summit - 2007', which ended here today.

On the second-day of the summit, the Gujarat Urban Development Department signed a total of 312 MOUs for projects like integrated township, technological park, hotels and hospitals, malls, multiplexes, waste water and bio-waste management in the state.

This was the second time in just two months that the state government went on signing MOUs worth crores of rupees.

It had signed MOUs worth Rs 461,000 crore last month.

Spporting his move Chief Minister Narendra Modi said, ''historically Gujarat has been a leader and this time too the state has maintained the top position by taking initiatives under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) of the Union Ministry of Urban Development project.
