Resort proprietor arrested in Andaman with drug
Port Blair, Feb 16: Andaman and Nicobar police today arrested proprietor of a resort in Havelock Island for keeping 68 grams of charas in his hut.
Acting on a tip off, the police team raided the hut of Happy Resort's proprietor Rajesh Raj Kapoor in Havelock and found 68 grams of charas in a bag, police sources said.
Police said Kapoor was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and arrested on the spot.
The drug was seized by the police.
''Havelock is one of the best tourists hotspots in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, where a large number of foreign tourists, especially from Israel stay for months.
Sources said charas and other drugs are mostly demanded by these tourists and hotel owners do their best to arrange these.
