Resort proprietor arrested in Andaman for possessing charas
Port Blair, Feb 16 (UNI) Andaman and Nicobar police today arrested the proprietor of a resort in Havelock Island for possesing 68 grams of charas.
Acting on a tip off, the police team raided the residence of Happy Resort's proprietor Rajesh Raj Kapoor and found 68 grams of charas in a bag, police sources said.
Police said Kapoor was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and arrested on the spot.
Havelock is one of the tourists hotspots in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, where a large number of foreign tourists, especially from Israel stay for months.
Sources said these tourists demand charas and other drugs and the owners of the hotels do their best to fulfil it.
