Rahul Gandhi to become PM by 2009: Chandraswami

Ranchi, Feb 16: Claiming 2007 to be a year of political 'ups and downs', disputed godman Chandraswami has predicted that Rahul Gandhi will become Prime Minister in 2009.

Talking to sources here before leaving for New Delhi, Mr Chandraswami said various states would observe change of power in the present year adding regional parties would become more powerful in comparison with the national political parties.

Predicting 2009 to be favourable for the national political parties he said results of Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls would be 'astonishing'.

Earlier Mr Chandraswami, was was in the state for last two days, had predicted that country's economical status would be strengthened after 2001 and burning issues of like terrorism would be sorted out same year.
