Mysterious light leaves people in dark: Eyewitnesses

Guntur, Feb 16 (UNI) A mysterious flash of brilliant light struck a fish pond this morning at Palaparru Village in Guntur district splashing water upto ten feet and finally dissipating leaving behind a thick column of smoke, according to eyewitness accounts.

Fear-struck people who watched the strange phenomenon took to their heels and returned after some time, the reports said.

Speaking to UNI here, Tashildar M Seshireddy denied reports of the water in the pond turning yellow.

He also said no object was found in the pond or any trees were uprooted.

After initial panic, people calmed down, he added.
