Mehbooba Mufti leaves for Doha to attend US-Islamic world meet

Jammu, Feb 15 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti today left for Doha (Qatar) to attend the 4th US-Islamic world forum conclave, commencing tomorrow.

Ms Mufti would speak on the relations between the Islamic countries and the West at the three-day global conference, hosted by the Brookings Institute USA in collaboration with the Saban Center for Middle East Policy and the government of Qatar.

The objective of the meet is to discuss the tension that has built up between the United States and the Muslim countries. It also aims to build up an actionable programme for governments and the civil society to confront the challenge.
