Hoax call creates bomb scare in Kutch Express

Surat, Feb 16: An anonymous call received today at Vadodara police control room saying that a bomb had been planted in 9032 Bhuj-Mumbai Kutch Express turned out to be hoax.

According to railway police sources, an unidentified person called up at Vadodara Railway Police control room this morning informing that a bomb was planted in the Kutch Express.

By the time the Vadodara Railway Police informed the Surat Police, the train had already left the Surat railway station.

Surat Railway police informed the matter with Valsad control room and the train was stopped at Navsari station.

Sniffer dogs squad and a bomb disposal squad checked the train and found that the call was a hoax, sources said.
