Govt to provide better amenities for pilgrims : Nitish
Patna, Feb 16 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today announced that government would develop the areas surrounding the historical temples to provide better amenities to the pilgrims.
Inaugurating a fair on the occasion of 'Maha Shivratri' near Baikatpur temple in Patna sub-division, Mr Kumar directed state's religious board Chairman Kishore Kunal to submit a detailed proposal in this regard.
''State culture and tourism department would provide the required funds for development of the areas, '' he added.
Mr Kumar also asked the chairman to take steps for restoration of the old temples.
Bihar tourism minister Nand Kishore Yadav said a list of important temples have being prepared and state government would soon initiate the steps for developing these areas.
