Further abatement in chill, mercury rises to 11.5 Degree C
New Delhi, Feb 16 (UNI) Continuing its rising trend of the last two days, the mercury in the Capital today climbed to 11.5 Degree Celsius, resulting in further abatement in the chill that swept Delhi during the last week.
It was another sunny day interspersed with cloudy intervals as the minimum temperature rose from 9.6 Degree Celsius yesterday to 11.5 Degree C today, one degree above normal.
Cold South Easterly winds, however, maintained a slight chill in the air.
Fog enveloped the Delhi skyline again this morning, reducing visibility to 600 m at 0830 hrs. Visibility levels, however, improved soon thereafter.
The abatement in chill is likely to remain in the next few days with weathermen forecasting that weather conditions will remain unchanged in the next two days.
The weather office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with possibility of thunderstorms or light rains in some areas.
The met department has also forecast a rise in minimum temperature to 13 Degree C tomorrow.
