Bajaj Allianz increases footprint in UP
Lucknow, Feb 16: Spurred by stupendous response to its flexible and 'customer friendly' products, leading private life insurer Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance has increased its office network to over 89 branches in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, offering complete end-to-end customer support and policy servicing.
Now, the company has the largest branch network among private life insurers with close to 900 branches across India.
''UP and Uttaranchal are strategic focused markets for us,'' Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company CEO and Country Manager Sam Ghosh said addressing a news conference here today.
''The conscious effort to enlarging our network and creating income opportunities to local population in the region is helping us grow rapidly and provide customised insurance solutions to masses and maintain the leadership position in private sector,'' he said.
Mr Ghosh said the total insurance premium of the company, which was around Rs 3,400 crore till January, might cross Rs 5,000 crore mark by the end of this financial year.
The company has about two lakh agents in the country to cater 30 products of insurance and other unit linked policies.
''UP and Uttaranchal have shown commendable growth as it has created employment and income opportunities with over 29,000 insurance consultants and employees and sold over 1,35,028 polices.'' Bajaj Allianz is the first private life insurer, which now has Lucknow's first COT (Court of the table) qualifier in the prestigious MDRT club of insurance agents. The Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) is the premier association of the world's top performing insurance sales professionals.
