Miscreants loot Rs 9 lakh bank money at gun-point

Bhubaneswar, Feb 16: Armed miscreants looted Rs 9 lakh at gun- point from the bank officials near Barang on the outskirts of the orissa capital here.

Police said Indian Overseas Bank officials from Athgarh were coming in a car with the money to deposit in the main branch of the IOB here yesterday, when four miscreants intercepted the vehicle near Barang and snatched away the money at the gun-point.

The miscreants who came in two motorbikes, fled soon after the Burglery before the police arrived on the spot.
