A new flower blossoms as Rashtrapati Bhavan web site everyday

New Delhi, Feb 16 (UNI) Every day since February 12, a new blossoming flower from the Mughal Gardens has adorned Rashtrapati Bhavan's official web site.

In the section 'Flowers Blossom at the Rashtrapati Bhavan', under icon 'My Garden Smiles,' a new blossoming flower had featured each day since February 12 at the site 'presidentofindia.nic.in'.

Just last evening President A P J Abdul Kalam had taken visiting Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi and his wife on stroll through the majestic gardens.

Meanwhile, recent rains in the city failed to dampen the spirit of nature lovers as thousands of them thronged the Mughal Gardens at Rashtrapati Bhavan since February 10 when it opened for the public this year.

As many 17,000 had visited the gardens till February 13 itself.

Mughal Gardens would remain open till March 18, except on Mondays for maintenance and March 3 and 4 on account of Holi.

The gardens were thrown open for about a month to the public in February-March each year.
